FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance do I need to make an appointment?
I will always do my best to schedule an appointment at your preferred time, even at short notice. Since I also work as a veterinarian, it is always easier to schedule the appointment a few days in advance.
Will my pet be picked up by the crematorium?
If desired, your animal can be picked up from your home. However, this must be arranged with the crematorium in advance, and there may be costs associated with this. It is also possible to bring your animal yourself or for the veterinarian to bring it; there will be additional costs for the latter.
Does my pet close its eyes when falling asleep?
The moment an animal goes under anesthesia, they keep their eyes open. The veterinarian will then close them.
Does my animal need to be fasted?
No, your animal may eat as usual; I use products that will not make your animal nauseous.
Can I hold my animal during euthanasia?
The most important thing is that you and your animal are as comfortable as possible. Of course, it is possible to have your animal on your lap.
Can I pay on account?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay on account. However, it is possible to receive an invoice for the insurance. Payment can be made in cash or by bank transfer.
Will I receive a statement for the dog tax?
If desired, I will prepare a statement for the municipality that will be sent to you afterwards.
Are other animals allowed to be present?
This is certainly allowed. Animals all say goodbye in their own way. In many cases, it may seem to us as if nothing is happening, but we see that it is beneficial to have other animals present. If unrest arises, the advice is sometimes to move the other animal to another room for a short time.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Voorafgaand an de afspraak hebben we contact en zal ik indien nodig eventuele voorbereidingen toelichten.
